Shannon Elliott is an artist and tattooer based in Vancouver, BC. Creating art since early childhood, she draws her ideas from ancient cultures and mythology as well as her love of animals, plants, and the natural world. Trained as an illustrator and graphic designer, she spent her early career working in corporate design, but eventually turned her attention to more hands-on mediums. She began a tattoo apprenticeship in early 2015 under the mentorship of master artist Yi Stropky, and felt an immediate affinity for the craft. She then worked at Black Medicine Tattoo for several years before moving to a private studio in Gastown. She still creates artwork for public murals, art shows, and designs for independent businesses all over the city.
